Literally... All eyes on us

Reason number 32 why these ain't your parents Patriots. Four different networks INTENTIONALLY airing the Patriots last regular season game.

We may never know if it was indeed John Kerry's letter to commissioner Roger Goodell that eventually led to historic coverage of a historic pursuit (I doubt it), but one thing is for sure... This Saturday night all eyes will be on us!

This is just awesome!

I'll tell you what, the Yankees were never broadcast on 4 different networks. Neither were the Cowboys, Lakers, Celtics or even the Olympics!

Yes folks - this may very well be the best team in the history of sports. All sports! All those years of suffering, and agony, and defeat, and pain, in Boston sports has finally come full circle!

Welcome to Title Town, USA!

All eyes on us!

As you may have heard, the leader of the Boston sports pack, the New England Patriots, are in pursuit of perfection. In case you've been out of the loop, or haven't been paying attention, NFL Network is making sure everyone is well aware of the Patriot's date with destiny this Saturday night.

If you're fortunate enough to subscribe to NFL Network you're in for a real treat this week. A total of eight NFL replays featuring your beloved Patriots will be aired throughout the week. We're looking at a record 65.5 hours of Patriots/Giants programming leading up to the regular season finale.

For those of you who enjoy pre-game shows prior to opening kickoff NFL Network is proud to announce a six hour pre-game show beginning at 2:00 pm this Saturday. This matches the record for longest pre-game show on a single network for any game (regular season or Super Bowl).

And we wonder why the rest of the nation hates the Patriots.

Got Juice?

I have a question that requires your help (expertise) answering.

As you may have heard, Canseco is in the news again, this time criticizing the Mitchell Report. Amongst many other things, he feels "there are definitely a lot of players missing from the report."

If he's right in saying over 85% of players juice or use PED's (performance enhancing drugs), or let's say even 50% of players, should we feel sympathy for him? I mean, the guys been basically black-balled from baseball. From a cheating standpoint, he could be considered no worse than Clemens, Tejada, Mo Vaughn, or Mike Lansing (had to name drop), right?

I suppose the same case could be made for Giambi?

Stuck with this one. Although you're making some great comments.

New Launch!!!

Well after a long awaited return, Boston-Sports.com is back! Welcome to interactive discussion of everything that is Boston sports and beyond.

We're living in a new Era of sports.

The Patriots, enjoying another historical (currently 14-0) season, have become the "Yankees" of the NFL. Nationally, it seems everyone hates them, and wants them to lose. They're STILL criticized for cheating, when in fact the taping itself, a widely adopted strategic filming of opposing sidelines, was not against league rules, but merely the location of the taping. Thankfully us Patriots fans are well above all that.

We're literally watching history. Brady, unquestionably the best quarterback in the NFL, is on track to break every significant QB record. My mother put it best, he keeps looking better and better. Meanwhile Randy Moss is leading large through his actions, and re-emerging as perhaps the greatest wide receiver of all time. All the while the Patriots are sitting atop the NFL at 14-0, with home field advantage throughout the playoffs. This will no doubt be a season we will never forget, regardless of how they finish.

Speaking of Championship teams, the defending world champion Red Sox are in very strong position to win their third championship in 5 years. Have they become the Patriots? And who's not watching the Celtics right now? Even my father, who NEVER watches the NBA, is watching. Presently the league's best team at 14-2, many believe this may be the best team Celtics team of all time. I'm in!

And we never forgot about the Bruins, who are quietly one of the best teams in the NHL. (right now score tied at 1 in the second against Ottawa). Regardless of what you may hear, there is a mass following who want nothing more than a return of the Cup to Boston. Very much like the new launch of Boston-Sports.com, this is something that is long overdue!

No doubt, it's an amazing time to be a Boston sports fan. And here's another place for you to share your passion. Welcome to the all new Boston-Sports-Blog.
